Theoretical Focus and Training
I have been trained as an integrative counsellor at The Minster Centre in London, one of Europe’s premier training institutes for integrative psychotherapy.
I am currently completing my Master’s in Psychotherapy.
Working integratively means I tailor my approach to each person, meeting you compassionately where you are.
My theoretical foundation blends elements of attachment theory (how we form relationships), psychodynamic therapy (how the unconscious and the past influence the present), the transpersonal (addressing spiritual concerns and life purpose), and person-centred psychotherapy (focusing on the client-therapist relationship).
I have also been trained in body psychotherapy, and have studied yoga and pranayama breathwork in the Ashtanga tradition for over 20 years.
As such, my approach blends Western psychology and neuroscience with Eastern philosophy. I have a particular special interest in the importance of nervous system regulation for women.
